Simone & Peter
Peter and Simone are getting married in early March.
They met in their 20s but only got together several years later whilst having a good time at the Leederville....(How many people in Perth have met at the Leederville Pub ??!! Lots....)
Peter had recovered from the devastating loss of his beloved Eagles to the other Perth team, the Dockers a week before....This is a man who loves his football...even buying and renovating a house across the road from the ground !!!
Anyway we headed into Northbridge and went to a couple of new spots that I had found earlier in the week. Very happy with the locations and we had a great time playing around with the late afternoon light.

Hope you enjoy these Peter and Simone - good luck with the furniture...See you on the day...
Cheers
Russell
Darren & Donna
Met with Donna and Darren for the pre wedding shoot down at the South Perth foreshore amongst the surfcats and the seagulls !!! They brought along their favourite child - well doggie...which we got some great shots of.
The day before the wedding Donna rang the studio to let me know that unbeknown to her the church had put up flags celebrating Italian week in the area. Whilst good for the community not great aesthetically so Donna thought a "heads up" to me would be in order. Glad she did, so it gave me some time to think about the ways to avoid them in the shots.
Anyway day went well following a slight delay in the start of the service due to a christening happening beforehand. Donna took a leisurely drive for a few minutes while the crowd dispersed and the service got under way. We went to a couple of locations I had scouted in the week prior in Mount Lawley. It does pay to go and knock on doors before a shoot as people are nearly always happy to have a bridal party on their front verge or steps !!! So we meandered through Mount Lawley with Fritz the Rolls Royce driver very efficiently going from place to place. Have to give a wrap to Fritz. Have worked with him many times before and nothing is too much trouble. The cars with their maroon styling looks great too.
Anyway we ended up out at Waters edge winery in South Guildford which I must say looked sensational. The view over the river is really nice....

Donna and Darren are currently lying back with a cocktail in Mauritius....!!!!!
Jane and Russell
Jane and Russell have their wedding coming up soon so we went down to City Beach and a lovely spring day and got some shots.

The weather was a little cool and when I suggest they hop into the water for some shots I think Jane was a little reluctant but we got some great shots so it was worth the salt water and sand !!!
Josh & Emma
Emma had put a lot of effort into the look and feel of the big day.
To start with we did a lovely little pre wedding shoot at a favourite location in Claremont - a suburb near the Swan river in Perth. After knocking on the door of a turn of the century house and using the front yard we moved to the side of the house and down a little laneway which had some gorgeous light....
Onto the day and Shaireen & I turned up to the Richardson Hotel in West Perth - what a great location - really stylish - great foyer.
Emma was upto her eyes in makeup when we arrived and the girls were having a good time - great laughs as Emma wriggled into the gown - A stunning creation by Pallas Bridal. The stylist let us down and in the end the girls were running quite late but all the girls with Emma's mum looked great.
Off to the church in Claremont - St Aidens. A gorgeous little church with a lovely lady minister doing the service.
Josh and boys chose lounge suits with ties which looked really smart - along with the obligatory large sunglasses !!
There children everywhere - they all seemed to be around

4 or 5 and looked very cute in suits or little white dresses. Josh's dad could not stop smiling - great to photograph.

During the week prior to wedding I had gone for a ride through the area and found some great spots - I don't know how many times I have photographed in the Nedlands Claremont Dalkeith area but it is still a buzz to find a new location or to put a different style onto a favourite one.
One mishap on the day was Emma's veil being whisked off her head and floating down a cliff face - Everyone just stood there mouth agape.....!!! I didn't even get a shot !!! We all looked at Josh and Emma and they laughed and we moved on !!! That is definitely one Emma will recount to the kids in years to come.
Josh and Emma have a thing for Audi's so had them for their bridal cars - A4's I think - they looked great.

Finally on to Frasers in Kings Park overlooking the city. Frasers have really adapted well to the daylight saving dilemma of it being too sunny when you are sitting down for dinner with heavy blinds blocking out the light and being lifted as the sun goes down.....

Just remembered a very quaint little touch that Emma put on the tables at the reception - each table was named after a famous couple - Bogart / McCall, Princess Grace and Prince Rainier, Homer & Marge !!! There was a little biography of the famous couples on each table....
Emma and Josh - famous in the future ?? The story has just begun !!!!

Deanna and Craig
Met with Deanna and Craig down at Indianas in Cottelsoe. A lovely spring day with the sea breeze coming off the ocean. Cottelsoe would have to be one of my favourite loactions in Perth as there is so many little angles and locations in a small area. The Indiana Teahouse alone has many excellent spots. Even though I have used this place before there is still new angles that I find.

Craig was a groomsman for Tash and Jason Cobb who I photographed about 4 years ago and who I have photographed subsequently after they had their first child.

Their whole crew are into tennis so that is where a lot of them met. Deanna had had her makeup done and it looked sensational. Good makeup and hair styling can make or break a look of a shoot. Well done to Deanna.
Looking forward to their day.
